Find Help for Dizziness and Imbalance,
Treatment for Hearing Disorders

Dizziness is a term used to explain a variety of sensations. Some describe it as a spinning sensation or vertigo. To some it is a feeling of unsteadiness or a rocking sensation, as if on a boat. However dizziness is described, it can impair mobility, decrease concentration, and cause nausea, anxiety and fatigue.
Causes of dizziness and imbalance may include poor posture; decreased strength, flexibility and endurance; injury; disease (such as arthritis, inner ear or diabetes); a central nervous system problem (such as Parkinson’s disease or multiple sclerosis); and/or the use of certain medications. Dizziness can occur at any age, but is more common among older adults. Fear of dizziness can cause a person to limit physical and social activities. Perhaps most importantly, dizziness can increase the risk of falling.
Most dizziness and balance disorders can be successfully treated. 360o Balance is the only comprehensive balance center in Austin that has a doctorate audiologist and physical therapist with a competency-based certification in vestibular rehabilitation.
